Time to re-charge your batteries? Acupuncture can help reduce stress, promote relaxation and wellbeing.
In addition to acupuncture, I also practice cupping - as seen with Michael Phelps , the Olympic swimmer! People have it for many reasons, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.
Conditions treated include:
Headaches & migraines
Stress-related conditions, e.g. digestive problems, insomnia
Gynaecology and fertility problems
Pregnancy, e.g. nausea, pelvic pain, back ache, tiredness .
Who can have Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is for everyone. For the young and not-so-young; for the elderly; for women hoping to conceive; for those with long-term health problems; for cancer sufferers......
What will my treatment involve?
Every client has an individual treatment programme which includes dietary and lifestyle advice. Acupuncture treats the mind and body, helping to bring about a healthy balance - as well as the acupuncture treatment, clients are encouraged to make appropriate lifestyle and dietary changes.
I hold a Licentiate and B.Sc (Hons) in Acupuncture and am a member of the BAcC, www.acupuncture.org.uk, treating a wide range of conditions at my clinic in Beaconsfield, near High Wycombe. I was a practitioner at the Pregnancy Clinic, The Shoreditch Trust; at the flagship NHS Gateway Acupuncture Clinic; and also on the ARIX cancer trial at Mt Vernon Hospital, funded by Cancer Research UK. I'm also a member of Acupuncture for Childbirth Team (A.C.T, Bucks) covering Beaconsfield, High Wycombe and surrounding areas. I'm a member of Mt Vernon Hospital Complementary Therapies Register and have worked in conjunction with the mental health charity Rethink, treating clients for stress and anxiety-related conditions.
